Adult Dance FAQ's
What types of adult dance classes are offered?
Unique Technique offers a diverse range of dance styles for adults, including Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Burlesque, Chair Dancing, Lap Dancing, Pom and so much more! Each session is designed to be fun, relaxed, and welcoming to all body types, genders, and experience levels.
What is the cost of adult dance classes?
Most classes/workshops are around $20 per hour. Full session tuition depends on the duration of the class schedule. Full tuition is due at the time of enrollment. Scholarships and payment plans are available, email uniquetechdance@gmail.com
What are your policies on cancellations and withdrawals?
Once enrolled, you are commiting to the class or full session. No cash refunds will be given.
We try many new classes and workshops often! Any class or workshop with 4 or less students will be postponed or canceled. Notice will be given a minimum of 24 hours in advance though email.
I am a very beginner dancer, is that okay?
That is great! We are here to teach and inspire you! All of our classes and workshops are geared to the Beginner dancer (unless otherwise specified). We welcome ALL dance levels and body types! All are welcome here!
What should I wear to class?
Comfort is key! Wear clothing that allows you to move freely. Appropriate shoes for the class type or bare feet are acceptable.
Knee pads are always encouraged for any class!!
Exotic dance classes encourage sexy attire. Clean soled Sneakers for Hip Hop and alike. For Heels classes- Heels must have a strap and be safe for you to move in. No Pleaser high heels style
How do I register for classes?
Registration is required in advance through our Dance Studio Pro program. Please create an account, sign waivers, and enroll in your desired classes. Follow this link: https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/uniquetechniquedance
How do I stay updated with class schedules and announcements?
Email is our primary communication method, so please check your inbox regularly. You can also join our class-specific BAND pages for updates, videos, and more. Don't forget to add us on Social Media for the latest information!
What if a class is missed?
Please contact us before any missed classes. We will try to work with you on a case by case basis. No cash refunds will be given for missed classes.
What are the payment methods?
Tuition can be paid through your Dance Studio Pro account via credit card or PayPal. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, please let us know in advance. A tuition box is available at the studio for depositing payments.
Kids Dance FAQ's
What age groups do you cater to with children's classes?
Our children's dance classes are designed for various age groups, starting from babies to teenagers. We keep enrollment open all year! We like to have new kiddos start the 1st class of the month.
What is the dress code for children's classes?
Children should wear hair away from the face and off the neck
Ballet, tap, and creative dance classes require ballet and tap shoes, tights, and leotards. Students are encouraged to dress up for classes- princess dresses ok!
Hip Hop classes require sneakers and comfortable clothing
No Jeans please
Please ensure all footwear is clean and free of dirt or mud
Can parents watch the classes?
Due to limited space in our lobby, we encourage family members to wait outside or run errands during classes. If your child needs you to stay close, we have a lobby. We are happy to work with the needs of each child individually! We offer in-house performances where you can see what the students have been working on.
How is tuition calculated for children's classes?
We are a recreational studio, with NO long term financial commitments. Tuition is based on the duration and amount of classes in each session. Each class is $17.50/hour or $13.50 for 45 minutes. The first month's tuition and a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee are due at enrollment. We are happy to pro- rate tuition when a student starts in the middle of a session.

What are your policies on cancellations and withdrawals?
We have no long term contracts, so you can unenroll your child anytime. Withdrawal notice must be written in an email. You will continue to be charged until we hear from you.

How are health and safety managed in children's classes?
Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are in good health and physical condition to participate in dance classes. If your child has a medical condition that could interfere with dancing, please inform us in advance.
